Pucilowski, CWE, has been involved in wine education and consulting for more
than 30 years. A credentialed wine educator, consultant and writer he is also a
much sought-after speaker.
He is
President/Owner of The UniversityofWine.com, (previously known as Wine
Educators, Ltd.) a wine consulting firm in
For
more than 20 years, Pucilowski has served as Chief Judge and Consultant to the
California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition, one of the largest, oldest
and most respected wine judgings in the nation. He
also serves as wine judge at some of the more prestigious wine competitions in
the country including San Francisco Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Finger
Lakes International Wine Competition, and Santa Rosa Press Democrat judgings.
He
has been wine columnist/writer for SACRAMENTO MAGAZINE for nearly a decade, and
has contributed numerous articles to various wine publications throughout the
nation.
”POOCH
ON WINE” was a weekly segment that aired
for over a year and a half on PM Magazine and the Noon News on KOVR CHANNEL 13,
the CBS television network station in Sacramento, CA. He continues to be a broadcast wine
authority and regularly makes on- the- air news comments and appearances.
A
Past-President of the Society of Wine Educators - an international organization
of 1,500 wine educators – Pucilowski earned the coveted Certified
Wine Educator (CWE) credential by passing an extensive written and organoleptic examination. He is a charter member of that
organization, and served on its Board of Directors for more than 12 years.
Currently
he is a Founding Director of The Lodi International Wine Awards.
